PFAS

My exploration of PFAS, for a review article has been greatly enlightening. The article has been communicated to the Sustainability Journal, in October 2023 , to be published and we are awaiting the same.

The main aim of the review article was to provide an overview of the prevalent issue of PFAS in the world. The perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) conundrum, known for its pervasive presence and resistance to degradation, demanded a nuanced approach, one that delved into cutting-edge treatment methods.  My primary focus, as directed by Professor Saurabh Kulshrestha, was to research the possible treatment methods that are available to treat PFAS. Furthermore, I also had to explore their viability, effectiveness, and scalability.

The research for the treatment methods helped me to expand my horizons into the world of environmental engineering and its wide applications, especially in the field of water treatment, as water is essential for all life on earth.

I would like to sincerely thank Professor Saurabh Kulshrestha for his guidance and providing me with the opportunity to co-author this paper. Additionally, I would like to thank Shoolini University for allowing me to use their resources and professors to assist me in writing this research paper.
