The Aeration Tank - an activated sludge is added to digest the colloidal organic contaminants

dissolved in the effluent.

Objective

During my internship at the Central Effluent Treatment Plant, I aimed

to gain practical knowledge and experience related to the different

streams of effluents and treatment processes involved at the plant.

Involvement

I actively participated in daily operations for 2 weeks, assisting in

monitoring and analysing the quality of incoming effluents and the

effectiveness of various treatment processes. This hands-on experi-

ence allowed me to understand the complexities of wastewater

treatment on a larger scale.
