As IYPT was proposed to happen in Pakistan in 2023, India along with 11 other

countries decided not to attend it, instead held the OYPT, the Online Young

Physicists’ Tournament.

To be a part of the Indian team, I had to go through 3 rounds of the selection

process. This included solving 1 of the problem statement that was provided

by IYPT. Once this had been solved, there was a Physics ‘fight’ that we were

required to win. It included: -

1. Reporting: - Present your research and defend every step and decision you

took.

2. Opposing: - Scrutinize the reporter’s presentation by finding faults with it.

3. Reviewing: - Summarize the arguments and discussion of the reporter and

the opponent while also giving the pros and cons of each

argument.
